Hi everyone!! Today I am doing the very much talked about Elle18's colour pops matte lipsticks range of bright vibrant colours. This launch is perfectly launched in the festive season. As it's the festive season we do everything colourful and vibrant. We wear bright vibrant colours of clothes and these lipstick range has the similarly vibrant vibe of colours that suits and lives up to to the elegant looks in the festives that you want, like pinkish purple and oranges and red shades. It also has dark shades, which is also a great for this coming fall season, like some shades chocolate colours and some purple. There are a lot of shades in the ranges. I don't want to make a long intro. I will put a picture of all the shades (that is, 19). The image below is one of the 19, that is, Rose day. So the other 18 shades will be in the end of this post. So let's dive into the review.
Product :
Elle 18 colour pop matte lipstick. This collection has 20 vibrant shades.
Price -
It for ₹100 each.( on Amazon its cheaper from 70-100 depending on the shade). Yes, this is the best part, cause who doesn't want to buy more lipsticks with a wide variety of shades to choose from.
Packaging -
It is same as the previous colour pop lipsticks. The Black body and graffiti girl on the cover, the only difference in this range, is that, the cover has matte finish. Obliviously, as it's name I says it. It's cover is same in shape too, but in some parts of Delhi, the body of the Lipstick or the cases are not round headed or round tip cover, it was flat. It has all the details of the product on the tube itself like price, expiry date and manufacturing date and all that on the sticker so I highly recommend to write it on a paper or diary to keep this until that date.
Quantity :
It comes in 4.3grams o product.
Shades :
It has a wide wide range of fun shades from light dopey colours, pinks, oranges, to dark reds and chocolate dark fall kinda colours. They have 20 shades, namely,
Rose day, Code red, Selfie red, Deep pink, Mauve date, Pink show, Rockstar red, Chocolate day, Let's tango, Belgian brown, Grape riot, First love, Choco bite, Berry dance, Berry bestie, Rust rag, Coral dose, Pink kiss.
Claims :
It claims to be a matte lipstick, but is not a flat matte. It keeps your lips soft and due to its creamy texture is comfortable to wear and don't dry out your lips.
Quality of the packaging :
I loved its packaging. The cover is good. It's cover does get undone when in bag/purse. Is it quite a as per the price point of view. I don't like it as it is so good but good in the quoted price. Although, I would like to mention that they are similar to the previous packaging of colour pops or colour burst lipwears etc.
Quality of the product :
It is not a flat matte. It has single colour bullet without a moisturising core as the previous launched colour boost by Elle 18 had. It is creamy matte so the bullet is soft. And that's why you need to take care of it real nice, do not drop it, or the bullet might break off the base. Or while applying too don't remove much of the product out. The quality of the product is good and colour payoff is really high. It has similar ingredients and packaging as previously launched colour pop, colour boost and colour burst. Still, I will list it here. It has moisturing contents that keep your lips hydrated.
Pigmentation of lipstick :
It has super pigmented colours that can suit every skin tone but, especially, dark skin tones or Indian skin tones. It gives full coverage on pigmented lips as these shades are dark bold colors. It has a few light shades but that too are not super light.
Stain :
The dark colours do leave a stain on lips. First love and mauve dat are few light shades in the range.
Longevity :
It has darker shades that lasts for 4-5 hours, but lighter shades last for a little lesser time. It's does washes off by 3-4 hrs.
Scent :
It does have a sweet scent like cocoa powder as the previous ones had in them.
Transfer test :
As these are not completely matte, they do transfer. But you may apply loose powder or apply close to the colour of eye shadow from eyeshadow colour palettes of yours or baby powder. Or just patt down your lips with a tissue paper.
Takeaways :
*It has similar packaging and cover, only the graffiti girl this time a little different. And they come in black packaging colour pops matte written on them.
*It is similar to their colour boost collection, but these have new formulation that gives a high pigmentated colour payoff in one stroke.
*It don't go matte. It is creamy matte. It has single colour bullet without moisturing core like the previous lipsticks had.
*It is not expensive and has pretty decent quality at that price point.
*It has darker fall kind of fun colours that too in this price that too in a creamy matte. And they have come with some good shades of colours launched in dark vibrant colours.
I have mentioned all the colours or shades in this collection or range, but as they are not easily accessible in local shops, and they are only available on an online shopping portal, that is Amazon.
My point of view : Will I buy or purchase these again ?
Yes, I will definitely buy cause this is a good affordable lipstick and has super pigmented shades. Although, I don't like the packaging and it's not even packed in a cardboard box. But I would say it is good for college going peepz, as it is a super budget friendly and super pigmented, with a wide range of shades to choose from.
